March 2011 - Results of the AlterIAS survey

Results from the socio-economic survey on invasive ornamental plants are now available !

This survey was addressed to horticulture professionnals and garderners in Belgium. We collected numerous answers from Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels. A total of 634 surveys were analysed. This study has two main objectives:

1. identifying which invasive plants are available within the horticulture market

2. assessing the level of knowledge and degree of awareness of horticulture professionnals and gardeners on the invasive plants issue
